AWO's third Congress which has attracted unprecedented media attention, was covered by 57 Arab and foreign correspondents and 82 correspondents accredited in Tunisia. Journalists from France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, the US, the United Kingdom, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates to name but a few, have covered the event. Accreditation was granted to all the journalists who requested it. By all accounts, working conditions were more than adequate thanks to the fitting out of two press centres, two radio and television studios, as well as two computer centres fully equipped with 100 computers with broadband internet access. In addition, the Congress's proceedings were simultaneously translated in 3 languages (Arabic, French and English) and a whole fleet of buses and cars provided fast and reliable transportation to the media representatives covering the event.
