الجمعية الفلسطينية لحقوق الإنسان (راصد) مزيد من المعلومات والموضوعات على صفحة لبنان : http://www.anhri.net/lebanon ========================== مصر ======== أرقام مخيفة في حصاد حركة الحركة العمالية وأزمة الخبز حوادث العنف في أوساط الفلاحين رصدت مؤسسة أولاد الأرض 118 اعتصاما و 68 إضرابا و 48 تظاهرة و 5 وقفات احتجاجية وانتحار 10 عمال وفصل وتشريد 20550 عاملا ومصرع وإصابة 1005 آخرين نتيجة غياب وسائل الأمن الصناعي حصاد الحركة العمالية في النصف الأول من عام 2008. كما رصدت المؤسسة حالات الخسائر التي تزامنت مع اتساع رقعة الجوع على خارطة مصر، والصراع المحموم للحصول على رغيف الخبر في النصف الأول من عام 2008. وقد بلغت الأرقام في هذا السياق 14 قتيلاً وإصابة 190 آخرين، واعتقال 137 جائعا في مختلف مدن مصر ومحافظاتها. وقد بلغت الخسائر الناجمة عن حوادث العنف بين الفلاحين أرقاما هائلة حيث قتل 54 مزارعاً، واصيب 194 آخرين و حبس 1394 مزارعاً بينما بلغت احتجاجات الفلاحين 33 اعتصاماً و45 تظاهرة و3 وقفات احتجاجية أما التجمهر فقد حدث في 3 مناسبات. مما يعني أن ما تمارسه الحكومة من ضغط متواصل على الفلاح المصري لتنفيذ ما يسمى بتحرير الزراعة وذلك بإلغاء دعم الأسمدة وغيرها من مستلزمات الانتاج الزراعي دفعت بالفلاحين إلى سفح الهرم الاجتماعي والريف المصري إلى حافة المجاعة. المصادر # This number points out to a divorce rate that reached 3 cases every day. The Libyan Alliance for Human Rights does not yet have the truth, all what it has only some information which might contribute in finding the truth, if used with integrity and professionalism. The Alliance has an established belief that all what has been said about the serious violations in Libya, still far beyond the truth, which is missing and will be so as long as the state continues in preventing the fulfillment of its basic conditions, such as the legal and on ground practice of political diversity, ensuring the freedoms of opinion and expression, and the impartiality and transparency of the state apparatuses including the independence of the judiciary. In which they discussed many issues that concern the association, and they have also organized three voting session to elect three committees emerged from the general corporation in three offices. Alaa Sabeh, the regional representative of the Association, presented a report in which he explained the general situations and obstacles facing the Association especially the huge administrative malfunction due to the issue of the threats received by the Association and its members in Lebanon, including application of resignation submitted by some of the management corporation members, because of pressure and terrorization they were subjected to. On the other hand, the Foundation had considered the loss cases occurred concurrently with the hunger breakout in Egypt, and the boiling struggle over the bread during the first half of the year 2008, where figures in this context reached 14 dead, 190 injured, and arresting 137 hungry persons in different Egyptian cities and governorates. And according to another report issued by Awlad Al Ard Foundation, the violence among famers resulted in death of 54 farmers, 194 others injured, and detention of 1394 farmers, where the protests of the farmers come to 33 in number, and 45 demonstrations, 3 protesting stands, while there are 3 assemblies. What indicates that the government relentless pressure on the Egyptian farmers in sake of the so called “Agriculture Liberation”, through terminating the subsidized fertilizers and the other agricultural production supplies, which had pushed the farmers to the bottom of the social pyramid and brought the country side in Egypt to an imminent famine. It also condemns the continuity of the arrest raids on the backdrop of Saada's events, since the arrests and the forced disappearance of children is a bad indication, while the first necessary steps is to bring to an end the suffering of the detainees and their families and releasing all of them. The students were trying to organize a rally from the Rights Faculty toward the quarter of the University Vice Chancellor, which located in the Faculty of Science, demanding improvement in their social and economical situations, and returning the dismissed students as well as the resignation of the Dean of the Rights Faculty. Amnesty require the Moroccan authorities to verify that the detainees of the Moroccan National Union of Students (18) were granted fair prosecution according to the international standards. and to ensure that they are not facing death penalty. The organizations urges the Moroccan authorities to open an immediate, independent and thorough investigation into the accusations directed to them, torture and other forms of harsh, inhuman and degrading treatment, as well as guaranteeing the protection for detainees from torture and ill-treatment, securing their rights to medical treatment, legal aid, and access to their families.. Sources # Amnesty International More information and topics on Morocco's page: http://www.anhri.net/morocco ========================== Iran ======== Following Unfair Trials a Kurdish Teacher Sentenced to Death, and Execution of a Social Activist The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran has sent an open letter to the Head of Iran's Judiciary, Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, enumerating grave legal flaws in the trial of convicted Kurdish teacher Farzad Kamangar, and appealing for a commutation of his death sentence and an investigation “to ensure justice and protect the integrity of the Judiciary itself.” In another context, The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran has announced that Yaghoub Mehrnehad (28), sentenced to death following an unfair trial, was executed on 4th August, 2008. Mehrnehad is a well-known social activist in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan. The Iranian Students News Agency termed Mehrnehad a “terrorist,” accusing him of membership in an armed Baluchi group. He was also an executive director of the Association Voice of Justice's Youth, a local NGO. Mehrnehad was trialed behind closed doors in a prosecution attended by him and his lawyers only. while the officials had only informed his family of the sentence on 7th February 2008. Sources # The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran More information and topics on Iran's page: http://www.anhri.net/iran ========================== The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information-Legal Aid Unit for Freedom of Expression ======== After Sentencing Him to 2 Years in Prison there is a New Claim to Withdraw the Nationality of Dr. Saad El-Din Ibrahim At the same time that the public was shocked by the acquittal of Mamdouh Ismail of the murder 1034 Egyptian citizens who were lost in the Red Sea waters as a result of neglect and corruption, Al Khalifa Misdemeanors' Court handed down a 2 years in prison sentence and 10,000 fine to Dr. Saad El Din Ibrahim. The claim was filed by one of the People's Council members who is a member of the ruling party, Dr. Saad El Din Ibrahim, the director of the Ibn Khaldun Center for Developmental Studies, and a professor of sociology in the American University in Cairo. The claim alleged that he published articles with false information about Egypt abroad, which considered as “damaging to national security” and defaming the image of Egypt abroad. The claim also demands his punishment according to Articles 77 and 80 of the Egyptian Penal Code. In this context the Legal Aid Unit for Freedom of Expression at ANHRI in cooperation with Hisham Mubarak Law Center and other Egyptian rights organizations called on all of the rights institutions and human rights activists to provide the legal aid for the accused in the case of 6 April Events and support them.
