Tunis Sujet de recherche Mon travail de recherche consiste à étudier le rôle de l'océan dans la variabilité du climat. Mon objectif est de déterminer les variables océaniques présentant un potentiel de prévisibilité aux échelles de temps décennales. La circulation thermohaline ou AMOC est un candidat potentiel dont j'étudie les mécanismes de variabilité et son influence sur le climat dans des modèles de circulation générale couplés. Je m'intéresse à la variabilité naturelle du système climatique ainsi qu'aux changements forcés par l'activité humaine. Activités de recherche Depuis Mai 2009: Postdoctorat au Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL) Université de Princeton (USA), avec T. Delworth. Etude de la variabilité décennale de l'océan Atlantique dans le modèle couplé du GFDL. Influence de la résolution sur le potentiel de prévisibilité. 2005-2008: Doctorat au LOCEAN, Paris avec C. Frankignoul Etude du rôle de la circulation thermohaline dans la variabilité du climat Analyse du modèle couplé océan-atmosphère de l'IPSL et expériences de sensibilité avec un modèle simplifié «slab océan». 2005: Stage de recherche à NIWA, Wellington (Nouvelle Zélande) avec S. Popinet. (6 mois) Simulation numérique de l'hydrodynamique océanique côtière dans le détroit de Cook.
